Seedlot Number vs. Vegetative Lot ID
A Seedlot Number is a unique number assigned to a quantity of seeds of a particular species and quality from a given location collected at a given time. Seedlots are identified by a 5-digit numeric code. For example 60780.
Vegetative Lots are distinguished from Seedlots by having a 5-character identifier beginning with an alpha character such as "V". For example V0907.
