Default SPZ Button
Click the Default SPZ button to let SPAR automatically determine the Seed Planning Zones which correspond with the planting location information you have already entered. SPAR will automatically fill the SPZ, BGC Zone, Subzone and Variant fields with the correct values.
If you enter data in the SPZ and BGC fields without using the Default SPZ button and if this data does not match the spatial SPZ and BGC then you will receive a warning message at the top of the screen in SPAR.
Note that on the Suitable Seed/Vegetative Lot screen you are able to enter latitude and longitude values for degrees and minutes but not seconds; therefore, the BGC Zone, Subzone, and Variant displayed on the spatial layer in SeedMap may not correspond with the parameters entered.
SeedMap Button
Click the SeedMap button to open the SeedMap Application in a new broswer window. SeedMap opens to display the geographic location of the planting site for which you are seeking a suitable Seedlot or Vegetative Lot.

Now that you know how search filters work, we'll take a look
at ways you can use them. |
Adjusting Your Search
The more information you include in your search the shorter
the list of results. If you add too many filters in your search
you may receive the message "No records found".
Remember, the skill to searching is finding the balance between
just enough information to get your results, but not so much
information the system cannot locate matching records.
Example of Adjusting Your Search.
One example of broadening your search would be to include
the BGC zone. SPAR will use the BGC zone to locate a broader
number of results for Class B lots. |
