About Help Desk Users

What is a Help Desk User?

 

A Help Desk User is an individual who has been given Help Role access to ADAM.  Usually, these individuals work helping others understand:

  • their access to ADAM.

  • their access to other systems.

  • how to perform tasks or functions within a specific system.

What ADAM Pages can a Help Desk User access?

 

Help Desk Users need to see various data in ADAM, but do not need to modify this data.  Therefore, Help Desk Users have Read Only access to the following pages:

Manage Authorizations

Search for authorizations for any IDIR or BCeID User.  This allows you to help a user determine:

  • If he/she is authorized to access a specific application.

  • If the authorization is for the correct profile.

  • If the authorization is for the correct organization or is not secured by organization.

  • Whether or not the authorization is active.

Manage Delegations

Search for delegations for any IDIR or BCeID User.  This allows you to help a user determine:

  • If he/she has a delegation for a specific application.

  • If the delegation is for the correct profile.

  • If the delegation is for a specific organization, any organization, or not secured by organization.

  • Whether or not the delegation is active.

Manage Acceptance

Search for agreements pertaining to any IDIR or BCeID User.

  • If a user is having trouble performing an action in ADAM or gaining access to a specific application it may be because he/she has not accepted an agreement.  Use this page to check the status of the agreement.
