As an Application Administrator, you can use this page to add a new Delegation to ADAM. A delegation allows you to delegate another user (or yourself) as an Authorization Grantor in ADAM. Your delegation will specify the:

A new delegation (Authorization Grantor) is created. |

To access this page:
If the New Delegation link is NOT visible in your left navigation bar then you are not authorized to add delegations in ADAM. You must have the Application Administrator authority in ADAM to add delegations. |
How to: |
Follow these steps to use this page: |
Click the New Delegations link. | |
Enter the User ID of the user you wish to add a delegation for in the Allow User field. If you wish to type in the User ID manually, you must enter the User ID preceded by the domain (e.g. idir\jsmith). If you use the Magnifying Glass icon to select the user, the domain will automatically be entered. Note: If you are having trouble finding a Business BCeID User, read this tip: Business BCeID Special Action. | |
Select the profile for this delegation using the To Authorize Profile field.

Specify the organization for this delegation. You may either:
If you are unable to access one or both of these fields, it is due to the profile you have selected in Step #3. The profile selected may not be secured by organization. | |
Enter the date you wish the delegation to come into effect using the Effective field.

Enter the date you wish the delegation to end using the Expires field.
| |
Click the Enabled Checkbox to activate the delegation. | |
If you require an agreement for this delegation, click the Agreement Required Checkbox.

Use the Electronic Agreement drop list to select the agreement to apply to this delegation. | |
Enter any applicable notes in the Comments field. | |
Complete the Notification section of the page if you want the Authorization Grantor to receive email notification of his/her delegation. | |
Click the Create Delegation button.

Warning: Delegations to BCeID User IDsYour organization may configure ADAM to prevent using the "For Any Organization" option when delegating to Business BCeID User IDs. If you attempt this delegation, you will receive an error message informing you of this. | |
In the example screen below, click on the underlined name of a field or a button. A pop-up window appears with explanations and information on terms. |
