Knowledge Solutions (KS) has a proven track record in the field of custom training design and development.  Our areas of specialization include training needs analysis, the design and development of online and blended learning tools, and the design and development of traditional and blended classroom training.  We have been in the Victoria marketplace providing a wide range of clients with successful training solutions since 1993; initially as TAP Training and Consulting and since 2003 as Knowledge Solutions Consulting Inc.

Knowledge Solutions has a proven record of successfully completing training design, development and implementation projects for a diverse group of clients including:

    • Marine Atlantic Ferry Services
    • BC Ministry of Forests and Range
    • Vancouver Island Health Authority

Laura Thomson
Laura brings over 16 years of consulting experience to Knowledge Solutions. She spent 2 years consulting as an employee of Arthur Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Following this, she spent 12 years with TAP Solutions Inc. While at TAP, Laura assisted in the growth of the Knowledge Management practice as Director of E-Learning.

Laura has a wide range of experience creating both traditional and, more recently, web based learning solutions. In addition, Laura has extensive experience in designing and delivering application training and legislative training to both public and private organizations.

Julie Birlew (nee Reynolds)
Julie brings ten years of Knowledge Management Consulting. Her experience has been primarily in the area of developing traditional and web based training programs for public sector organizations.

Julie has been involved in training initiatives that have provided learning solutions for custom applications, legislative changes, and policy and procedural changes.
