Get Organized ChecklistsVancouver Island Health Authority

The developers' work is completed and now it is time to get started on implementation. Begin with a brainstorming session. Be clear about what you're doing and why you're doing it. Consider what has been done during the development phase. Creatively think about whom you need to work with, and how you want to accomplish your work.

Reflections Reflections

Take a few moments to reflect on the following questions. You may not have the answer to these questions now, but you should keep them in the back of your mind as you progress through the workbook.

Who's Involved?
With your project in mind, what areas or individuals might be affected by your project? Who might be the early adopters and supporters of the project? Can you think of a few individuals that you could tap for knowledge about "getting things done"?
How is value added?
When considering the information presented in the Getting Started Checklist ask yourself... What are some insights, elements of change or key learnings that are of value to the organization, my practice and the practice setting?

Other Considerations Summary

By using the checklist and incorporating feedback from your stakeholders, you will be well on your way to establishing your implementation project. Think about the purpose of the project and other factors that might affect your work. Will your project be big or small? Is the project well-supported and feasible? This chapter will help you gather the information needed to assess and organize your implementation project.
